A practical guide to getting your first clients
How customers actually look for a trainer
Most people do not search for a trainer by name. They search for what they want: a morning yoga class at the villa, boxing for beginners, a pilates session near where they are staying. Your listing should answer that search in the first line.
Name each session after the result and the setting, for example "Sunrise yoga at your villa" or "Boxing fundamentals, 60 minutes", instead of just your own name. Customers compare options quickly, and a clear title is the difference between a click and a scroll.
Build a profile that earns trust in ten seconds
Use a bright, uncluttered photo of you training, not only a portrait. Add your certificates and the number of years you have taught. Name the languages you coach in, because many customers are travellers and a trainer who speaks their language is easy to say yes to.
Write what a first session looks like. People are nervous about starting; a short description of the warm-up, the pace and what to wear removes the doubt.
Set prices and packages that are easy to decide on
Start with one clear single-session price per discipline, then add a small group price if you teach groups. The platform fee is added on top of your price, so you can set the number you actually want to receive and it will not be reduced.
Once you have regular clients, offer a package of several sessions. Customers who plan a longer stay usually prefer one decision over many, and it fills your calendar in advance.
Choose where you train and say so
Be explicit about the settings you offer: at the customer's villa or hotel, outdoors, at a studio or gym you use, or online. List the areas you cover. Customers filter by location, and a trainer who travels to them is far more bookable than one with no stated area.
Mistakes that cost bookings
Leaving the calendar half-empty or out of date, so customers see no available times. Answering messages the next day. Listing every discipline you have ever tried instead of the ones you are strong in. Photos that do not show you teaching. Fixing any of these is free and usually shows up as more bookings within weeks.
Personal Trainer partner FAQ: what people ask before joining
Do I need a gym or studio?+
No. Many partners train at the customer's villa or hotel, outdoors, or online. If you do use a studio or gym, say so in your listing.
Do I need a certificate?+
You are asked about your certificates and experience when you apply, and certified trainers tend to be approved and booked more easily. A recognised certificate is strongly recommended, but proven experience is also considered.
How much does it cost to join?+
Nothing. Applying and listing are free. On the free plan a small platform fee is added to what the customer pays when they book through the platform, and you receive the full price you set.
How do I get paid?+
In Indonesia, the customer pays through the platform and your earnings are released after the service, to your Indonesian bank account. Outside Indonesia, you take bookings with an active Premium plan and are paid directly into your own bank.
Can I list more than one type of session?+
Yes. You can list several sessions across the disciplines you are approved for, up to the limit of your plan.
Can I set my own schedule?+
Yes. You set your available days and hours and block dates when you are not available.
How long until I am approved?+
Applications are normally reviewed within 24–48 hours.
I live outside Indonesia. Can I still join?+
Yes, from the countries listed in the application form. You can publish your profile for free; to take bookings you need an active Premium plan and you are paid into your own bank. The platform does not process payments outside Indonesia.
